SEV’s new Wind Turbines in Tórshavn43 viewsThe project of building 13 new wind turbines in Húsahagi a few kilometres northwest of the Faroese capital Tórshavn, which began in November 2013, is going as planned. The access roads to the turbines are completed in despite of windy weather, rain and snow. The next step is the foundations under the turbines.
The wind turbines in Húsahagi are a big step forward in SEV’s green direction. The new wind farm will put SEV in a position to produce 60 per cent of the Faroese demand for electricity based on hydro and wind power.
SEV wants to invite the public to watch the project in video spots from the work to construct the wind farm.

Christianschurch34 viewsThe Church is the first one in Scandinavia to be built in Old Norse style. The roof construction is the same as the one you would find in the Viking halls, and the same which has survived in the Faroese smoke rooms (kitchens) and in the Faroese village churches. This open roof construction has proved to be especially suitable for church buildings, as the acoustics in this church is better than in any other of a similar size.Sep 04, 2014
